Universal Space has confirmed that it has begun construction of a new factory in China.

The Zhongshan-based company, also known as UNIS, said the first phase of development of the 130,000sq.m site will be completed by December next year.

UNIS president Louis Lu said the new facility will further the expansion of the company over the next decade as it aims to maintain its position as a leading manufacturer in the amusement sector.
