The weekend saw many exhibitors and visitors returning from the Asian Attractions Expo, which was held on June 13-16 in Shanghai, China, and most of the reports were positive.

Preliminary results show that the exhibition broke records with 11,500 participants, of whom 8,100 were buyers. For the sixth consecutive year AAE set new benchmarks for the size of the show floor and the number of exhibitors. There were networking events at Shanghai area attractions, including the new Shanghai Disney Resort.

The expo is organised by IAAPA and was held at the Shanghai New International Exhibition and Convention Centre. The attendees represented a 365 per cent increase compared with the last time the show was held in Shanghai in 2006.

There were 414 exhibitors from 34 countries in 12,339sq.m of space – the largest show floor in the event’s history.
