EAS, Europe’s largest conference and trade fair for the attractions industry is taking place in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in September.

IT was noticeable at the Euro Attractions Show in Paris, France, last September that the number of coin-op amusement equipment manufacturers and suppliers exhibiting there had risen significantly. A lively, well-attended event, EAS brought together companies from across the leisure and entertainment spectrum and – as a number of those InterGame spoke with explained – therein lies its appeal.

Attracting operators of a diverse range of locations, the show provides an opportunity to connect with buyers outside the traditional confines of a coin-op amusement show.

This September, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions backed show will be held at the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Returning to the Dutch city is a popular choice and the event is expected to attract more than 8,500 visitors from 80 countries.

“In 2009 we had one of our best shows in Amsterdam,” said Karen Staley, vice-president of IAAPA Europe. “With numerous projects going on in the attractions industry in the north western part of Europe, it’s logical to return to this world-class European city.”
