Innovative technology has unveiled a “revolutionary” new product, according to sales director Tony Morrison.

Combining both a bill acceptor and a ticket printer in a single unit, the SMART Ticket is a “unique product that will be ideal for VLTs, casino operations and adult gaming centres,” he said.

“Typically the norm would be to produce a high-end bill acceptor and a high-end ticket dispenser. What this does is combine the best of both.”

Featuring the company’s own NV200 bill acceptor, SMART Ticket, which is available in four ticket mounting options, is the “next step” for the company.

“Looking at the total cost of ownership, it gives great value for money in a joint product,” Morrison explained. “But, not only does a joint product represent great value, it gives machine designers and game developers more options because you’ve got the two devices in one. You’re creating real estate that they can use for something else.”

This, said sales director Marcus Tiedt, gives designers “complete new opportunities” to use that space for other things.

SMART Ticket also offers a software tool that allows operators to design and create their own ticket templates very easily, Tiedt said. “So you don’t need to ask for someone else to do it for you, you can really do it simply and easily yourself.”

The device not only allows tickets to be printed out, it also enables them to be read back into the machine. Players can therefore print a ticket from one machine and then insert it into another to play.
