Genting Casino Hurst Street in Birmingham, UK, is to get a new look and a new name.

Situated within the heart of the city’s Chinatown and priding itself on its authentic Chinese offering, the casino will now aptly be named Genting Casino Chinatown.

The casino is currently undergoing a refurbishment and as part of this will launch a brand new restaurant, Hou Mei, which aims to bring to Birmingham the latest in contemporary Asian cuisine. While specialising in Chinese cuisine, there will also be dishes from Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam.

The casino is also to offer a brand new karaoke bar to help bring the “true spirit of the modern Far East.” At the heart of any Genting casino is the gaming floor and Chinatown is the first casino in the UK to offer Genting’s Instant Baccarat Bonus – a progressive baccarat that gives customers the opportunity to win a jackpot of up to £60,000 or more for achieving consecutive banks. Traditional games such as roulette, blackjack, electronic roulette and slot machines are also available, as well as mah-jong. The casino is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Jim Ward, general manager of Genting Casino Chinatown said ‘The continual investment into the casino demonstrates the commitment to our customers, ensuring we offer them the very best in gaming. I’m thrilled about the improvements to our restaurant and the introduction of a karaoke bar as I think our customers will enjoy these facilities.”
