Caesars Entertainment and its partner Rock Gaming have revealed plans for a casino in downtown Toronto, Canada.

The casino at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre would be pedestrian-focused using the city’s public transportation system, according to Caesars’ vice president Jan Jones. It would also include a multi-storey glass entrance and an urban park with retail, dining and entertainment options.

The concept was submitted at the request of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp, which plans five commercial casinos in the province and would like one of them to be in downtown Toronto.

Toronto City Council is expected to decide early next year if it wants to host a casino. The possibility of building the only casino in Canada’s most populous city caught the attention of MGM Resorts, Las Vegas Sands and Wynn Resorts as well.
