Global Zitro brought a selection of its video bingo games to the Macau show this week, partnering with distributor RGB.

This year’s G2E Asia show marked the first time the Spanish company has exhibited here. Presenting both its Bluewave and Blackwave platforms, Zitro expects its video bingo products to find a home in Asia.

Zitro is one of the largest suppliers of video bingo products to Latin America, with 15,000 units installed in Mexico alone. “If you go into a casino here in Asia you will find all types of games but no bingo machines,” said Global Zitro’s head of new business development, Alfonso Montalban. “So this is a completely new product category for Asia. We are confident that you will find bingo machines here in the future because the game of bingo itself is very popular.”

Steven Lim Tow Boon, RGB’s COO, explained that the time is right for Zitro to focus on Asia because the market is “opening up” and, unlike Europe, remains largely unaffected by the economic crisis.
