The annual three-day World Regulatory Briefing, organised by Clarion Gaming, the ICE Totally Gaming promoters, will undergo a radical change in its organisation this year.

The seminar, which attracts several hundred delegates from the gaming industry, has been located in Malta and the Isle of Man in recent years, but this year will switch to a series of one-day events.

The organisers will take the briefing to different parts of the world. The first will be on January 24 during ICE Totally Gaming in London. That will be followed by Germany and then probably two other European destinations. But it is also planned to move further afield, to North America, South America and Asia.

Kate Chambers, for Clarion Gaming, said: "The objective of the briefings is to update the industry on what is happening. As the industry is changing so frequently, with new jurisdictions opening or amendments to existing regulations, it seemed appropriate to hold a series of events rather than one, three-day meeting. It also offers the opportunity of 'localising' the briefings, bringing in changes, updates and analyses about the local markets as well as reporting on what is happening globally."
