Nevada experienced an upturn in gaming revenues in October, the US state’s Gaming Control Board revealed.

The state’s licensed gaming operators reported total gaming win of $960m in October, an 8.12 per cent increase on the same month in 2010.

The Las Vegas Strip saw gaming win increase by 13.28 per cent to $560m, while North Las Vegas enjoyed the largest improvement with a 15.37 per cent jump in gaming win.

Gaming win for the fiscal year from July 1 to October 31 were down slightly across the state, with the Lake Tahoe area suffering the most.
