The 2011 'trade show wars' is turning into an avalanche of support for Clarion Events' ICE Totally Gaming at Earls Court (January 25-27).

News that the giant Novomatic had pledged its support for the show next year was followed earlier this week with both TCSJohnHuxley and Recreativos Franco from Spain backing ICE.

Since then Abbiati and Gamesman have also announced that they will show at ICE, which is already 95 per cent full and has 400-plus exhibitors from over 40 countries.  Clarion’s show had been threatened by the American Gaming Association’s backing of a Reed Exhibitions bid to run a London show from 2011 onwards. That competition will not necessarily go away in succeeding years, but it appears that for 2011, at least, Earls Court is getting the nod from the industry.

In company announcements, Franco said: “ICE represents the best commercial offer to help our products reach the largest number of customers.” Abbiati: “Our continued commitment to ICE and organisers Clarion is based upon our customers’ overwhelming support for this venue together with the commitment and support of Clarion Events and their management team to Abbiati as an exhibitor.”
