Macau's casinos continue to leave the US behind with revenues of nearly $2bn in September.

The Chinese enclave’s gaming revenue rose 39.8 per cent last month, the slowest monthly rate of growth in 2010.

Figures from the enclave’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau revealed revenues rose to 15.3bn patacas ($1.9bn) in September, up from 10.94bn patacas in the corresponding month last year.

The enclave’s growth is evidently beginning to slow, with September’s figures following growth of 40 per cent in August.

For the first nine months of the year, total revenues have increased 60.1 per cent to 133.237bn patacas. May was the enclave\‘s strongest month, with revenue soaring 94.1 per cent to 17bn patacas.
