Novomatic has moved to end speculation over the future of the London gaming show, ICE Totally Gaming, by committing to the event in both 2011 and 2012.

Making the announcement, Austrian Gaming Industries managing director Jens Halle said: “As recent industry speculation and media comment have made clear, there has been much discussion in recent months about the future organisation and the location of Europe’s major gaming industry show.

“Novomatic’s decision to stay at London’s Earls Court and with the present organiser, Clarion Gaming, is driven exclusively by the wishes of our customers and is subject to final contract negotiation. Our customers are the key factor in any commercial decision that we make and they have made their feelings abundantly clear.

“So, for that reason, we have decision to make this firm commitment and to make our decision known throughout the industry.”

The company revealed that recent discussions between members of the so-called European exhibitors’ group of manufacturers showed that it was not alone in choosing London as its preferred location for the show.
