Bally Technologies displayed a wide range of product at last week's ELA show in Mexico City.

The company has been present in the Mexican market for over five years now and in that time it has seen the sector grow enormously. Despite the general economic downturn, the company is optimistic that this market, along with Italy, is providing a welcome boost for the industry.

“We have over 60 systems installed throughout Mexico,” said John Connelly, Bally’s vice president international. “We expect this to grow to over 100 within the next 18 months.

“Systems are becoming more and more critical and we feel we are in a strategic position to support the market from both a machines and systems perspective. This is a key differentiating factor between ourselves and other companies.”

Bally presently has installed or has signed contracts for 5,000 machines in Mexico. Of those, the company anticipates virtually all will be Class III products by the summer as operators migrate towards the latest games and technology.
