Clarion Gaming has appointed Kate Chambers to the post of show director, responsible for the International Gaming Expo in London.

Chambers, who will report directly to Julian Graves, managing director of Clarion Gaming Exhibitions, has held a number of senior positions within international events, exhibitions and media sectors, most recently with the UBM Group. She has also worked with EMAAP Communications and Reed Exhibitions.

"Our role as organisers of the most influential event in the gaming industry calendar is to continue to provide our customers with the best business event of the year held in the best central London location and delivered by the very best organising team," said Graves. "Kate’s career history is underpinned by an ability to consistently produce leading events and exhibitions through a combination of clear strategic thinking, a customer-first mindset and sheer hard work.

"We are delighted to have her leading our new team and she will have the Clarion board’s full support in deploying fresh new strategies to take the gaming industry’s event of the year to another exciting level."
