The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation has awarded a provisional licence to the Millennium Pan-Asia Hotel and Resort to create a $300m integrated resort and casino in Mandaue City, in the region of Cebu.
The entertainment hub will include a world-class casino as well as shopping malls, restaurants, cinemas and a theatre. It is due to open in autumn 2020 and will create employment for at least 4000 people, according to Millennium CEO Justin Xiao.
Millennium is also committed to set up a foundation that focuses on the enhancement of cultural heritage as a way of giving back to the community.
