The Canadian city of Toronto is preparing to hand over all gambling operations to one commercial enterprise.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has confirmed that control over gambling operations in greater Toronto will go private and OLG will choose an operator within weeks.
The deal will last for the next 22 years and will include the casino and thousands of slots in other locations.
Local press reports suggest that Caesars Entertainment, property developer Brookfield Asset Management and Malaysia’s Genting Group are all in the running.
