Hard Rock International has released details of its major resort proposal in Spain.

Hard Rock Entertainment World has been approved by the Catalan government for a 745,000sq.m site in the Tarragona area with an investment proposal of €2bn.

It will contain a combination of hotels and convention centres with top-quality entertainment, dining and retail. It would have the iconic guitar-shaped hotel with 600 rooms and one of the largest casinos in Europe with 1,200 slots, 100 tables and live entertainment. 

The nearby theme park PortAventura would joint venture with a 500-room family hotel and there would be 10,000sq.m of luxury shopping.
