The big UK gaming show, ICE Totally Gaming, has been shortlisted for an award in the Best UK Trade Show category of the Association of Exhibition Organisers’ Excellence Awards.

The show, which was held in February, broke records when it chalked up 30,000-plus visitors in an independent audit. They came from 151 countries. Now ICE will be rated alongside some other major events at this Friday’s (June 16) awards evening to be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane, London.

Actor James Nesbitt will host the awards night and among the ICE organisers present will be Kate Chambers, managing director of Clarion Gaming. “While gaming is not on everybody’s radar as an industry, ICE is one of the best known B2B exhibitions within the UK events business. I believe this to be a result not just of the numbers attending ICE, but also the imagination, energy and creativity that gaming organisations bring to their presence. I am delighted that ICE has been selected as a finalist in what is widely regarded as being the ‘Oscars’ for the events industry.”
