After the tragic incident at Resorts World Manila last month that resulted in 38 fatalities, including the assailant, and 54 individuals injured, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation has suspended the provisional licence granted to Travellers International Hotel Group to operate casinos.

With the suspension, RWM must cease and desist all gaming operations while the investigation into its liability regarding the June 2 incident is ongoing. The suspension will remain until RWM rectifies its serious security lapses and deficiencies.

Non-compliance with the order will cause PAGCOR to impose other sanctions under existing laws. PAGCOR is also requiring all integrated resorts to submit security and safety protocols to make sure that this will not happen again.
