The world’s largest casino in terms of its number of slots, Foxwoods in Connecticut, US, has taken six VGM machines from GameCo of Las Vegas.

A VGM is a video game gambling machine, says GameCo, which claims to be the creator of the world’s first skill-based VGM.

Moving into Connecticut means that GameCo is now in its second jurisdiction in the US, as well as the company’s first tribal gaming location for its skill-based game.

The games include an adventure in ancient Egypt (Pharaoh’s Secret Temple) and a basketball challenge (Nothin’ but Net) and it is all down to strategy and virtual skill.

“Skill-based slot machine technology is the next generation of gaming and we welcome this addition to our already industry-leading resort casino experience,” stated Felix Rappaport, Foxwoods Resort Casino president and CEO. “This partnership with GameCo is just another example of our commitment to provide our loyal guests new and exciting reasons to visit Foxwoods.”

Blaine Graboyes, co-founder and CEO at GameCo, said that the company’s skill-based games offered "entertainment, engagement and excitement of video games, esports and gambling to create a new type of destination for current and future casino customers."

GameCo became the first skill-based gaming company to debut its video game gambling machine in casinos in Atlantic City. The company sees its product as targeting jurisdictions which currently operate electronic poker or blackjack machines.
