Revenue for the US casino industry in March increased year on year to $3.7bn.

According to data compiled by the University of Nevada, the state of Maryland saw the biggest increase in the month, with revenues up 44.3 per cent to just over $141m.

Nevada casinos saw a 7.4 per cent increase while Pennsylvania, the nation’s second largest commercial casino gambling market, saw revenue of $289.5m.

West Virginia was one of only four states to see its gaming win decline in March; the state’s casinos won $49.4m, down 7.2 per cent compared to March, 2016.
