Gaming win in the US state of Nevada was $1.04bn in January, an increase of 12.02 per cent compared to January 2016 ($925m), reports the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

The properties of the Las Vegas Strip continue to dominate the figures, recording a win of $608.9m in January, up 14.4 per cent from the $532.3m posted a year prior.

The highest climbers however were the casinos of downtown Las Vegas, recording a win of $55.5m in January, up more than 32 per cent year on year.
