A casino licence in Cyprus is on the cards and operators are lining up to bid for it.

Cyprus casino on way

NagaCorp is the latest to move into the final stages of the process, according to the Fantini Report, and will offer its final submission by the deadline of October 5.

A consortium of Melco International, Hard Rock and Cyprus Phasouri has apparently secured the necessary land to build a casino resort on the island.

The licence demands that the successful bidder must construct a 500-bed hotel - and install 1,000 slots and 100 table games - but will also have the right to build a satellite casino and three slots rooms.
