A £3m redevelopment of Rainbow Casino in Cardiff, UK, is set to create 30 new jobs.

The project is on schedule and the new-look city centre venue will host a star-studded relaunch event this month. Situated in Mary Ann Street opposite the Motorpoint Arena, the casino will unveil a brand new entrance and a second entrance on Tredegar Street.

The revamped venue is the only city centre casino in Cardiff and remained open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, while the redevelopment took place. The refurbishment not only doubles the size of the casino, it will also completely update the interior, rationalise the layout and improve visibility and access.

Alongside state-of-the-art £20,000 jackpot slot machines and casino tables, the casino will also boast a comfortable outdoor smoking terrace (pictured) with brand new electronic gaming machines. The completed casino will have a larger late licence bar and a new restaurant area, allowing guests to enjoy themselves whether they eat, drink, play or watch sport.

General manager Richard Phillips said: “Our new-look casino will have something for everyone looking for a night to remember. A bigger, improved casino means we have created 30 new roles for which we are currently taking applications. These roles span front of house and customer service roles to catering and managerial posts.”
