The G2E Asia trade show opened its doors for the 10th time this week and the organisers were keen to celebrate the milestone.

Venetian Macao

The event is being held from May 17-19 at the Venetian Macao and attendance on day two was solid, with most exhibitors InterGaming spoke to expressing satisfaction with business done.

The American Gaming Association and Reed Exhibitions, who run the show, are clearly trying to head off competition from the rival Macao Gaming Show, which is held in November and run by the local manufacturers’ trade association. There was a setback for G2E when it was announced recently that Novomatic would be attending MGS exclusively.

However, the atmosphere in Macau this week is upbeat. And that was mainly due to the injection of floor space from the i-gaming industry. For the first time this year there was a separate i-gaming zone and many of the companies within it were either showing here for the first time or substantially increasing their stand space.
