Casino operator Rank saw revenue at its Grosvenor arm increase seven per cent in the second half of 2015.

Group revenue was up five per cent for the period, while group operating profit improved 11 per cent.

Although its Mecca retail bingo division saw growth of just two per cent, continued strong growth across Rank’s digital business resulted in a boost of 14 per cent.

Chief executive Henry Birch described the figures as a “good set of results.”

“2016 will see us deliver significant new platforms, new functionality and new products - including a new digital platform, a new retail casino management system, new poker and sports betting products and a new retail bingo format - all of which will drive improvements across our company,” he said. “It is extremely encouraging that ahead of these changes, we are continuing to grow all parts of our business.”
