The production of gambling equipment in Italy in 2014 employed 5,000 people and was worth €500m, according to Gioco News.

It was quoting from a new study which was presented to the media in Rome yesterday. Of the sectors encompassed in the study, the production of gaming products was largest with €264m or 52 per cent, followed by terminals at 43.1 per cent and networks and control systems to the concessionaires, which accounted for four per cent. Of the gaming products most were of the AWP and VLT types. Lottery terminals contributed 24.1 per cent and online gaming products 10.1 per cent.
