Two more major casino resorts in south-east Asia are being proposed, in the Philippines and Myanmar.

South-east Asia

In the Philippines, combined American and Macau investor groups plan a $650m casino in Lapu-Lapu city on Cebu.

The 1,350-room resort would open in 2017 in what will be Mactan Leisure City.

In Myanmar, Zochwell Group of Singapore is proposing a $1.2bn resort on an island in the Myeick archipelago at the country’s southern tip.

Zochwell would lease the island for an integrated resort that would include the casino, resort amenities and a theme park.
