Island View Casino Resort in the US state of Mississippi has unveiled a new $58m hotel extension to the property.
The hotel tower, which sits on the Gulf of Mexico shore and includes restaurants, a spa and other amenities, is the third phase of growth and investment for Island View.
Rick Carter, co-owner of the resort, said at the launch: "As a private locally owned business we recognised the opportunity to further invest in the Mississippi Gulf Coast's future through this property expansion, which will strongly support the growth of our area's tourism industry and create a significant economic driver, including approximately 300 direct jobs.”
The 18-storey beach tower is a smoke-free environment comprising 405 rooms and suites, increasing the resort's total number of rooms to nearly 1,000.
