MGM Resorts chairman Jim Murren predicts that the gaming industry in Macau will stabilise in 2016.

He said the slowdown in the local gaming industry will not affect Macau as the most important gaming city, predicting that gaming revenues will start to recover by the end of this year.

He added that declining gaming revenues in Macau are not unusual, as they had surged unexpectedly high in the past years and the local economy is stabilising.

He perceives that the Special Administrative Region is gradually entering an adjustment phase, forecasting that the local gaming industry will be back on its feet in 2016.
