Apex Gaming’s new iDrop cash management accounting solution created a great deal of interest at the recent G2E Las Vegas show, company founder and CEO Johannes Weissengruber said.

The Apex Gaming Team

The iDrop is designed as a cash management tool for table games, uniting live gaming with slots for ticket-in, ticket-out.

With the system, players no longer need to exchange cash or tickets or chips at the cage. Instead, they can exchange cash or tickets directly at the gaming table and the croupier places the bills and tickets into the iDrop. If the player does not wish to exchange the full amount for chips, the croupier can print out a new ticket for the remaining value. When the player wishes to cash out, the croupier can then exchange chips for a new ticket.

The iDrop ensures that the cash and tickets are securely validated, while providing the operator with an immediate overview of the amount of cash in the system.

“Everybody who saw it wanted to have it,” said Weissengruber.
