UK operator Aspers Casinos has launched a new loyalty scheme that rewards players with instantly transferable ‘freeplay’ balances – a first for the British market.
Based on technology developed in partnership with International Gaming, all four of the group’s casinos are now able to offer customers instant point-of-play rewards, rather than having to rely on the traditional two-staged points-to-voucher based systems offered by other casinos.
Each time a customer plays on Aspers’ slot machines and electronic roulette using an Aspire Xtra card, Freeplay Xtra will automatically be earned and added to the customer’s balance. Once a minimum of £5 rewards balance has been reached, the customer can instantly choose to add this to their gaming credit.
“The re-launch of the Aspire loyalty scheme is not only exciting, it’s innovative and an industry first,” said chief operating officer Richard Noble. “Aspers is proud to offer the UK’s only loyalty card that gives you instant freeplay.”
The company has “retired” the traditional points-based rewards, he said, stating that they were often “misunderstood.” The new Aspire scheme is available in three tiers – Xtra, Gold and invitation-only VIP.
