Novomatic, Europe’s largest integrated gaming group, is now a member of three of the world’s most important lottery associations.

With this, the company expands its competency in lottery services. Apart from its market leading position in the European video lottery sector, the company is also striving to increase its footprint in the classic lottery segment, not least through the acquisition of the Icelandic lottery technology pioneer Betware Holding that was completed in November of 2013.

Betware’s many years of experience as a provider of online gaming solutions for the lottery market already offer a major step in this direction. Now, Novomatic can also count itself part of the World Lottery Association, the European Lotteries and the Corporación Iberoamericana De Loterías Y Apuestas De Estado.

The World Lottery Association is a worldwide member-based organisation that advances the interests of the state lottery companies by advocating the highest ethical principles and supporting its members in achieving their visions. As one of the most recent members, Novomatic has now been recognised as a Gold Contributor.

The European Lotteries, an umbrella organisation for national lotteries, has also recognised these efforts and rewarded the company with Associate Member status. The CIBELAE, an association of lotteries in Latin America, has accepted Novomatic as a Star Provider.

“Being received as a member of these three important associations honours us and shows that our commitment to continued innovation and social responsibility is paying off,” said CEO Franz Wohlfahrt. “As an integrated gaming group, we are both an operator and a producer of high-quality gaming devices and services. The lottery offering will perfectly complement our already comprehensive portfolio.”
