Crown Resorts is teaming up with Chinese property developer Greenland Holdings to pursue the Brisbane casino licence at the Queen’s Wharf.
Under the agreement, Crown would operate the casino and six-star hotel, also owing a portion of that part of the business, while Greenland would be the exclusive developer and owner of the remaining retail and residential components of the project.
There are several other bidders for the licence including Echo Entertainment, which already operates the Treasury casino in Brisbane.
