WMS Gaming has received one of 11 high achiever awards from the Manufacturing Leadership Council at the 2014 Manufacturing Leadership Summit.
High achievers were selected in nine categories from recipients of the Manufacturing Leadership Awards. WMS was recognised in the supply chain leadership category for the WMS Procurement Transformation Project, which simplified the WMS supply chain by implementing sourcing strategies to increase efficiency and shorten material lead times.
The initiative directly advanced WMS’ ongoing integration with Scientific Games and expedited the completion of prioritised organisational goals.
“This achievement represents truly collaborative innovation across the entire WMS end-to-end supply chain,” said Chris Hillman, vice president of global supply chain. “The high achiever distinction is a testament to our industry leadership and commitment to optimising performance for our customers and I am incredibly proud of the team’s accomplishment.”
WMS joins a number of distinguished companies in receiving the award, including Procter and Gamble, BMW, Lockheed Martin and Oracle Corp.
