The annual Irish Gaming Show gets under way in Dublin from tomorrow, with much of the talk at the event sure to centre on the potential regulatory changes set to shape the sector in the years to come.

Now in its 35th year, the two-day show is taking place at a new venue, Red Cow Moran Conference Centre, and will include around 40 exhibiting companies. Among those attending the event will be DLV, DRGT, TAB Austria, GeWeTe, Carnaby Gaming and Astra Games.

During the exhibition, the organisers will be hosting several seminars to provide an update on Irish gaming legislation and the proposed changes to the casino sector.

Last year, Minister for Justice Alan Shatter announced plans to introduce new legislation to repeal and replace all existing regulation of betting, gaming, bingo and lotteries - except for the National Lottery - and extend the licensing regime to include online and electronic gambling. The bill included provisions for regulating up to 40 casinos in the country.
