IGT CEO Patti Hart came to the gaming industry from Silicon Valley.
“I had the great experience of leading a number of Silicon Valley technology companies,” she told InterGaming. “I was CEO of Pinnacle Systems and also at Excite@Home and Telocity Inc. That followed my tenure at the Sprint Corporation where I was president and COO of Sprint’s Long Distance Division.”
Hart saw what she describes as “a great opportunity” to leverage her experience in technology to drive an industry leader into an exciting new era. “I recognised that convergence was coming to the gaming industry and I knew that IGT could lead the charge,” she said.
“It’s so interesting to lead IGT through the global convergence of gaming, where our vision and innovation drive our success. My Silicon Valley and technology experience enabled me to approach the gaming industry with an open mind to what could be possible and to lead a visionary team in the transformation of gaming entertainment.”
Hart joined the IGT board in 2006 and became CEO in 2009. “I have worked with the industry’s best and brightest as we continue to lead and transform gaming entertainment.”
