I have been suffering from post Royal Wedding blues this week…

Did you see the dress? Did you see Kate’s sister’s dress? More to the point did you see Beatrice’s ridiculous hat?!

It was a truly wonderful day, which saw the UK come together to celebrate - it was also a very good excuse for an extra bank holiday, so I would like to thank Wills and Kate for scheduling their big day around an exisiting bank holiday, giving me my second four-day weekend in a row.

But now it is all over and I have been feeling, well, a little down to be honest… it’s a bit like Christmas, you have all the excitement leading up to the ‘big day’ and then it is over and done with before you’ve had time to shout “cheers!”

Luckily for me iNTERGAMINGi editor Jenni Shuttleworth has come to my aid, as her fella finally did the decent thing and asked her to marry him over the weekend…she of course said yes and I am once again in my happy place - talking about weddings!

At the risk of getting into trouble with my editor in chief, concentrating has proved, well, difficult to say the least this week. There’s so many questions that need answering…How did he do it? Can I see the ring? Where are you thinking of getting married? When? How many bridesmaids are you having? What sort of dress do you want? And most important of all… When’s the engagement party?!

I can’t help it, I just love a good wedding and love talking about them…I think Jenni’s future husband Graham, is fearing I may bring out the worst in her and she will soon be making all sorts of demands, producing him with a list of “essentials” for the wedding longer than his arm!

I think the men in the office (and even some of the women) may be putting in requests to work from home if I carry on at this rate, so I thought I best use this space to off-load some of my wedding talk before I drive everyone (including the bride-to-be) mad!

Expect more in the coming weeks…

Congratulations Jenni and Graham xx
